In all honesty, as someone who has been following Overwatch's development since beta, I'd encourage people to play on one of the game's "free weekends" before dropping the money to buy it. In its current state of imbalances and the entire dev team focusing on Overwatch 2 (essentially just a re-skin of OW), it is not a game where you'll be getting the most out of your money (ie. It's not a game that you'll be hooked on playing for hours). I'd even hold off on purchasing Overwatch 2 when it comes out until you get to try it out.
