The popular prince of Persia franchise, the game that had assassin's creed as it's spiritual successor.
A lovable series, that introduced a lot of us into the world of action adventure gaming. A master piece to be precise. Vanished and unheard of again.
What do you think could have led to the disappearance of this title? I'M DYING IN ANTICIPATION FOR THE SANDS OF TIME 2020 REMAKE, ARE YOU?.

i think it's cause the games were expensive and interest in them compared to the assassins creed franchise was very low. Also I'm not sure they own the ip in its entirety while they do own assassins creed. The remake looks a little rough but I'm excited

The key word from your remark is "EXCITED" it shows you possess the spirit of a true appreciator of GAMING perfection.... Don't mind me just saying nonsense as usual...LOL😅

It mostly has to do with the fact that Ubisoft doesn't own the IP also the fact that the last game had poor reception and then they released Assassin's Creed so they put there focus to where the money was.

The remaster looks good. And it could be a good way to revitalize interest in the series. But, with some of the stuff out there, when it's revitalized, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that the dagger and sands were artifacts in the Assassin's Creed universe. That could be a good way to fold the franchises together.

You think like a game design artist. I'm glad you also appreciate the franchise

Part of it is the fact that I have done game design. Also, I'm always thinking of ways to tell different stories.

Man I hope they don't go that route, I like my prince of persia games simple and kept far and away from the dumpster fire that is modern assassins creed

😂😂😂.
Seems like @ultraboyo is a Prince of Persia fanatic like me. I don't find assassins creed as exhilarating as THE POP FRANCHISE

I miss the games, but I understand that Ubi would rather have 100% of the profits instead of sharing lol.

It would be neat if they even made a spiritual successor that's focused on the acrobatics, platforming and puzzle solving of the Sands of Time trilogy but maybe in a new setting with a mechanic that fits that world.

I feel like there could still be a lot done with Sands of Time as a framework!
