it seems the xbox series x's graphics is technically better than the ps5's but ps games have always been better imo
Idk I think the SSD speed etc kinda evens the score a bit. Anyhow yeah PS games have always been better to me as well

I feel like that's generally the theme of their rivalry coz with the current-gen it's the same thing well from what I've seen

Sony always destroys Microsoft in terms of the sheer number of quality exclusives. Microsoft has the resources but they always seem to come up short.

as a pc gamer, i appreciate that xbox games will also have pc versions, even exclusives but i can see why that would annoy some purists since it's not really an "exclusive" on xbox if people can just play that exclusive on pc

The problem with Microsoft is since their games are on PC too, it drastically reduces the entire point of their console. And that's where Sony kills them. The current head of Sony envisions a future where Sony exclusives slowly make their way to other platforms after a few years. Which makes sense, seeing how Horizon Zero Dawn is now on Steam. Sony has the strategy right even if they do go down this route. By delaying their exclusives to other platforms, it makes their console more enticing. Win-win for everyone.

I agree. Sony knows how to succeed in the short term and increase profits in the long term, too.

Sort of off-topic but I could never playing fighting games with xbox controllers. Even using a pc keyboard is better than xbox controllers for fighting games imo

Since I don't have a PS4 I'm going to get Ghost of Tsushima when I buy my PS5. As for an Xbox I have a good enough PC that I don't need it.

And Persona 4 Golden on Steam too. :)

Never owned personally any home consoles from any companies other than Sony, as the lack of exclusivity was an unattractive point for me as I'd rather play on PC than console anyway and since I'd be spending on PC (for video editing and whatnot ...) it was kinda pointless to spend on both. (Sadly as I wanted to own Sega consoles but I was too young and didn't buy my consoles yet lol)

But yeah ... If I want to play old PS classics I just play them on my PS2/PSP/emulators/Steam as they're all very accessible nowadays. (thankfully!) as I do play them a lot.

pc master race assemble! I never did any video editing or other productive tasks on pc except for typing up essays and researching for papers. The true essence of a pc is gaming imo :p I'm still waiting for the new nvidia graphics cards that are being announced in 10 days so i can finally have a new gaming pc after more than 9 years

I'm part of the PCMR but I have a potato rig (I crie averytiem).

I'm actually looking forward to the new Nvidia 3xxx series. Dat DLSS 2.0 tho... I had my mind blown when I saw games that were running at 1080p but look like it's 4k using DLSS 2.0. This could futureproof PCs for a loooong time.

Yeah, same here though I did go Nintendo for their handhelds. I guess between Sony and Nintendo, there isn't much reason for Microsoft's consoles.

Seems like you've got it all figured out, I love pc gaming but I've always been a home console guy and Sony has been good to me. what upgrades have you made to your PC? I been trying to get mine modded up as well since my PS died

Well, my 9 year old desktop was pretty good at the time. First gen intel i7 processor, two nvidia gtx 460 graphics cards put in sLi, and 8 GB DDR3 RAM. I remember running Crysis 2 on max graphics settings at 1080p. Felt good bro  . Been waiting for a new pc build since 2013 but always got sidetracked. I think i will still wait to see what AMD has with big navi before i pull the trigger with the new nvidia cards next month

You're not wrong! Had a few Nintendo handhelds as well (GBC/GBA/NDS) though my last one was a NDS phat. Not because I didn't want a 3DS or Switch but because I couldn't afford them as a poor college student lol. But..... yeah, when you've got series as good and diverse as Pokémon, Ace Attorney, Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing being released almost/exclusively for Nintendo consoles, it's hard not to. Though Vita was best for otome games even that seems to be changing with the Switch.

By the way, haven't played anything but lightweight PSX (and older) and indie games on my PC in a while because my PC was basically put on fire (yea NGL one day I looked at it and there was some smoke ...) and since then I've been slowly working on buying a new PC but of course a GPU was last. Thinking of what to buy to just edit videos and play PS3 graphics-level non-online / non-competitive games.
